PRODUCT CARE

Sheepskin is very easy to look after. Wool's unique structure gives it natural durability and robustness — the thin, waxy coating on each fibre contains fatty acids that inhibit bacteria and easily repels dirt. Still, a little care goes a long way in preserving the character of each piece. Follow the routine below and your sheepskin will stay beautiful for longer.

General Care

Regular vacuuming with a plain suction cleaner keeps wool fibres in good shape. Longer wool rugs benefit from an occasional brush with a wire pet brush. Small spills can be sponged off with a damp cloth. Keep sheepskin out of strong, direct sunlight as UV will damage the natural fibres and may fade or discolour dyed sheepskins. Store it somewhere dry, since damp conditions can degrade the leather pelt. A few simple habits will keep your sheepskin looking its best for years.

  • Avoid direct sunlight to prevent UV damage and fading, especially on darker shades.

  • Shake rugs, cushions, and bean bags regularly to keep them lively.

  • Dry-vacuum rugs often with a plain suction unit — no rotating, turbo, or beater-bar attachments.

  • Blot spills and stains promptly; never rub the wool pile.

  • Dry-clean dyed products only.
